Twenty competitors will be invited to rehearse/conduct the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Orchestra in extracts from

Haydn: Symphony No. 104 in D
Beethoven: Symphony No. 8 in F, Op. 93
Britten: Sinfonietta, Op. 1


STAGE 2: 3 November 2010

Ten semi-finalists will be invited to rehearse/conduct the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Orchestra and soloists from the School in extracts from

Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33
Schumann: Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54
Joe Cutler: Cinnamon Street


FINAL: 4 November 2010

LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Three finalists to perform

J. Strauss II: Overture: Die Fledermaus

and one of the following to be drawn by lot

Tchaikovsky: Capriccio Italien, Op. 45
Kodály: Dances from Galanta
Wagner: Prelude and Liebestod (Tristan und Isolde)
